Hi, I'm Kristen! I, like so many others in this great site, love traveling and meeting new people. I love to share cultural experiences, ideas, and philosophies. If I were to choose one word to describe me it would be: positive. I always look on the bright side of life and I always have a positive attitude. I can guarantee you, I will meet you with a smile :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a bit when I was back in Cali, but my primary involvement was couch surfing across Western and Southern Europe with my best fried for 2 1/2 months! We met the most incredible people and had only positive experiences. I've met up with couch surfers in many countries and forged some great friendships with them.

Couchsurfing across Europe with my best friend!! It was the most amazing experience I could have asked for. Every single person we met and stayed with went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Everyone was so friendly!! Could not have asked for a better experiences.

Centres d'intérêt

I like to learn and try new things. My passion is environmental sustainability and I strive to live as green as I can. I pretty much enjoy any activity that is outdoors, whether it is snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, bike riding, etc. I am fortunate enough to have lived by the ocean on one of the most gorgeous coastlines on the West coast of the states. Now I am traveling around the South Island of New Zealand in a van with one of my best friends. It's so much fun.
I also love chess. Really, it's the best game. I'm not super great at it, I just love the strategy.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

All types of music! Seriously, every genre. I love sharing and discovering new music to. Music is a universal language. But some of my favorite artists/groups are: Coldplay, Muse, Tiesto, Andre Nikatina, Cosmic Gate, Above and Beyond, Armin VanBuren, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson.

Movies? Wow where to start? Fantasy, adventure, scary, funny, romantic are a few types of movies I enjoy. My all time favorites are Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pride and Pirates of the Caribbean, and Casablanca.

As for books, I am currently reading Raja Yoga, Kyballion, and A Study of Lucid Dreaming. If you know what the Kyballion is or have read it, then we are on the same page and have a lot to talk about :D

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I had heart melting and life changing experience while volunteering at an orphanage in China for the mentally handicapped and physically disabled children. I am the person I am today because of one trip.
And the amazing hosts in Europe we stayed with! I have so many stories I would love to share.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I would love to learn as many new skills as I possibly can. I can speak intermediate Mandarin and I am a Reiki master/teacher and I am more than happy to share my knowledge in both! I also practice yoga, massage, and dance, djembe drum, and am learning a Chinese flute called xunxun. I love to sing and dance and make music!
PS. Reiki is a modality of energy healing that can help balance the chakras and ultimately the mind, body, and spirit.
