CURRENT MISSION
I'm a recently graduated student trying to travel as much as I can :D
I've recently returned from backpacking in Asia and a trip cycling from Trondheim, around the coast of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands to get back home in the UK - wild camping and couchsurfing all the way.
Now saving money and trying to decide where to go next!

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, outgoing person who loves to travel. I'm a very keen cyclist and try and hire a bike to explore everywhere that I can. I like being outdoors and exploring new places. I spent 4 years studying a Masters degree in Physics in Nottingham and worked a collection of jobs along side, social media managing, liquid nitrogen demos, university tours and loads of events work setting up large student events, parties, bar crawls and trips to Amsterdam and CERN. Now it's time for a break!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started couchsurfing while travelling around South East Asia and have been hooked ever since, it's just such an awesome way to meet people and really experience new places. I love to cook and try new foods so will cook for/with my CS hosts whenever I get the chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed with a collection of lovely people and loved every minute of it, from luxury apartments to hammocks or just a spot for my tent. I've also been hitchhiking, lots of hosteling, and a few thousand km cycling in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Interessen

I love cycling and am out on a bicycle as often as I can be :) I also like to swim, climb, kyack, hike and pretty much any other adventure sport I can find/afford. Love being outdoors, exploring new places, wild camping.

I'm also a keen photographer and enjoy cooking, reading, gaming and watching movies.

I have a pretty wide taste in music and enjoy parties, nights out in bars and clubs and love festivals.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: All sorts; from Arctic Monkeys to Skrillex, David Bowie to Deadmou5 and everything in between. If I can sing along or dance I'm happy.

Movies: Love spending an evening watching movies of pretty much any kind; My current favourite is 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' which has made me desperate to travel Iceland

Books: I'll read anything I can get my hands on. Love The Hobbit, Terry Pratchet's Discworld novels, Phillip Pullmans Dark Materials series, The Time Travellers Wife, I could go on and on...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Hitchhiked from Nottingham, UK to Marrakesh, Morocco
Cycled from Leeds, UK to Köln, Germany.
Cycled up mountains in Cambodia and Vietnam (until the bicycles fell apart and I had to hitch back) and up to the Shan state hill tribes in Myanmar.
Cycled through a jungle & minefield in Cambodia (accidentally!)
Worked 2 nights as a fire breather in a beach bar
Almost stepped on a viper while hiking alone in the world's oldest rainforrest
Wild camped alone on top of a mountain in Norway during a storm
Licked the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Always happy to give cooking or photography tips (but I don't claim to be an expert in either!) and for travelling when on a very tight budget. I love to learn new things!

Im easy going and am normally up for whatever my host suggests, the best way to explore a new place is with someone who knows it :)

I love to cook so am always happy to make a meal out of whatever is available or even help teach my hosts to cook.
