Please keep in mind that we live in DURBE, not in LIEPĀJA! That is about 30km from Liepāja direction Rīga and there is a bus connection.

We are a Latvian family (we have a daughter, born Feb 2012 and son, born Aug 2013) living in country side and we try to enjoy life as much as possible.

MOVIES:
We are not watching them very much, but there are some that we like. Here is a mixed list:
"Braveheart", "One flew over cookoo's nest", "Leon", "Desperado", "Matrix", "5th element", "The Sound of Music", "Godfather" "End of the affair", Lars von Trier moves.
Basically we like movies that make us think about something, not just entertain us.

MUSIC:
We prefer rock and rock'n'roll. Mostly we are listening music from 60s, 70s and maybe a little bit from 80s. Kristers favorites are: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy, Dio, The Doors, Elvis, AC%DC, Kiss, Guns'n'Roses, Nirvana, Rammstein etc. Monta loves some of those, Scorpions, Abba :)
And of course we like a lot of Latvian music too.

BOOKS:
Kristers really enjoys past and future - history and science fiction. But not only. We like books in which we can find an idea, not those which are interesting just because we want to know how the story will end. Some Kristers not-Latvian favorites: Harry Harrison "Stainless steel rat", Jack London "Martin Eden", George Orwell "Animal farm" and "1984" and lot of other too.

We can probably teach you the languages we speak, how to play guitar, something a little about the history of our country. We would be glad to learn anything you would like to teach us. And we are ready to share our house and food.
