ABOUT ME

Brazilian guy how grew up among Germans or a German guy who grew among Brazilians? Hard to dissociate one thing from the other. Fact is, I grew in two different cultures and can move freely between them. Perhaps this is why I developed a keen interest for different cultures and am drawn to international subjects.

PHILOSOPHY

- People are not what we think they are; we think people are what we think about ourselves.
- It's never too late to start that we ought to do.
- Watch out for your thoughts, as they will determine your reality.
- Get to know at least one new place every year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Actually new to CS, but well acquainted to the idea, though. While in Germany, I used to saty at friends' places or at relatives (well, people that already knew me). Here in Brazil, travels have become less usual.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

... as said, none. But I get the concept very clearly. I noticed (quite late) that there are groups in my home town. But I'm travelling next week to Europe and I guess I'll have to participate when I return.

Interests

Gosh..! Sometimes I think I have too many interest for too little free time. Well, well... the main interest would be photography, sports and music. Since I sometimes work as DJ, and I must keep up my set list, you'll probably find myself with earphones (but I do take them off to talk to people). Besides electronic music, I'm very passionate about rock and art music. Under sports, biking, fitness and yoga are on the top of the list. Not long time ago, I used to travel to neighboring cities by bike (usually in groups). But now, the scarce time prevents me for these undertakings. Now I ride in weekends.
... and, of course, bars and pubs with friends! Who wouldn't enjoy this?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The time I felt my heart would blow through my chest is when I reached 100 km/h on a bike.
The first time I was in New York, I decided to explore the city and shoot pictures of what I saw. I spent the entire day in this adventure. The thrilling part of it, I was barely 15 y.o. and could hardly express myself in English. Perhaps, this is why I always explore a new city with my camera to feel some of that thrill I felt exploring the Big Apple all by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Could teach about photography. Better said, exchange what I know with what you know. Both would be enriched by the process. I'm just an amateur photographer passionate about artistic photography and always keen to learn something new, specially from proffessionals.
I have dabbled for some time in holistic therapies and I might have some aces up my sleeve. I gladly share this knowledge if your heart wishes it. Meditation has also become a personal ritual and I might teach if it interests you.
