Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting people around the world and at home. I've used couch surfing a bit on the road and would like to continue, as well as host anyone travelling near me. The majority of us do not have enough money to see the world staying in even modest motels and hostels. Couchsurfing allows you to do so much more, and the added benefit of local knowledge and connections. I've met the coolest people through other Couchsurfers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most indie rock, folk, electric, psychedelic, etc. and a variety of anything upbeat and catchy (not so much the mainstream stuff that feels force fed) AND live music, especially local artists. Nothing better than listening to a beautiful song sitting around in a circle with a group of awesome people.

Movies - definitely some interesting film out there. Short films by the national film board, or indie Film Fest productions allow to you see a bit more heart. And of course the odd blockbuster just because.. lol I can't be too much of a snob!

Books - Well, if you have read Infinite Jest, you will understand when I say this is an accomplishment and there's really not much that can live up to it. However, there are many fabulous stories. Honestly though, I prefer taking in books through audio format, just the type of learner I am (good for driving long distances).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing at the J24 Canadian championship (in Toronto area) the waves were big and the winds were blowing 25-35knts!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

So much really, conversation is endless. I have so many ideas and would love to hear yours. If it's summer maybe I could teach you how to sail. I have lots of community building experience I can share and lots of thoughts about developing a better life and world. I am getting into growing micro greens and promote sustainable living and entrepreneurship everywhere. I have lots of board games to play if you are into that, my partner and I are sort of board game geeks. I can share some cooking as well!
