About Me

about us -
after spending six months exploring Vietnam as a group of five friends, it’s now just the two of us — Kristian and Rasa — two best friends continuing the adventure in Malaysia before heading back to Europe. we’re two friendly, easy-going Lithuanians in our early 30s, traveling with open hearts and curious minds.

we love discovering the real side of places — beyond the tourist tracks — whether that’s riding motorbikes through small towns, joining locals for street food, or connecting with traditional practices like herbal medicine or eco-communities.

who we are -
Kristian is a free-thinker and explorer, freelancing as a web developer. always curious about culture, technology, and big conversations that stretch late into the night. right now focused on personal growth and transformation, in preparation to start building own project.

Rasa left her corporate career to search for her true calling. recently studied and graduated in regression therapy. loves art, dogs, and travel, and keeps a tiny sketchbook (@the.arting.paintist on IG) where she draws moments from her journeys.

what we love-
- arts & culture, electronic music, and the occasional 5AM dance party
- well-being, meditation, and deep exploration of life
- dogs! (Rasa’s family owns three and even runs a dog hotel — we’re happiest in homes with furry friends 🐶)

⚠️ Unfortunately, we’re both allergic to cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

for us, travel is about authentic connection — sharing meals, stories, and laughter. We love long conversations, learning from locals, and giving back wherever we can. Couchsurfing is less about the couch, more about the surfing of human experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

music for listening -
ear pleasing, eclectic, disco, funk, jazz, 90s-00s classics, dub, trip-hop, ambient

music for dancing -
disco, house, indie, goa, acid, nu, funky, trancy, weird, rolling

movies -
i feel like i've seen so many, although i haven't seen some classics like 7 samurai or satan's tango. different movies - different occasions, but mostly enjoy something that challenges the status quo or reveals different perspectives on realities and gives food for thought. if that would be a genre, definitely sci-fi with some dystopian elements

books -
never read much, but one book that just revealed a lot of missing pieces of the puzzle is reality transurfing by Vadim Zeland
