About Me
Hey, fellow couch surfers!
I'm from Norway, been living in SF for 2 years. Got my Master's degree here and I'm now working for an awesome biotech startup and volunteering for animal rights nonprofits.
I lived in Essex, England for 3 years before coming here. I gained a Bachelor's degree and a British accent during my time there, and a lot of great memories.
I'm chill, friendly, respectful and outgoing. I love animals, nature, travelling and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to travel and explore more, especially while I'm here in the United States and in a year or two I hope to travel to other countries, too.
I think it's a great way to meet new people and truly see what the place you're visiting is like. I prefer to do more of the 'local stuff' rather than the touristy stuff, so I'm hoping to stay with someone who can show me around :) So far I've stayed with hosts in Los Angeles and San Diego, and the experiences were great!
Interests
I love going out with my friends. As I live in the young and vibrant city of SF, this is a regular activity. We go to cool bars, do urban hiking, explore small markets and cute cafes, as well as the art and culture in the city. I love hikes, yoga and going to the beach. I'm also a hobby photographer and I enjoy travelling. I care about animals more than anything else in the world and I love vegan food, so I spend a lot of on activism and discovering new eats!

Music, Movies, and Books
Being a grad student, I read a lot of academic literature... Books that have changed my life are Silent Spring by Rachel Carson and Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer.
I love Florence + the machine, Arctic Monkeys, Daughter, Youth Lagoon, The National, The Black Keys, The Killers, Beach House, Queens of the Stone age and so on. Too many good bands and artists to mention.
I'm a sucker for Tarantino films, I adore Wes Anderson's films, environmental documentaries and a good rom-com every now and then.
