I am almost 30 years old and I have graduated with a degree in Sociology and criminology in 2018. I accomplished quite a bit in my years of uni including a study abroad experience in the UK and simultaneously travelling at the same time. Any opportunity I get to go out and explore new places and meet new people, I try to take that opportunity. Since graduation, I travelled full time for nearly 2 years. I was an online freelancer who teaches English to children in China for 1.5 years. I have travelled less frequently since COVID. I now have fun by teaching people how to fly airplanes and I’m sure I’ll go to the airlines and fly there someday.

I’m interested in getting to know you and your culture. I value local culture and sights more than the commercial stuff. I like to challenge and broaden my horizons while travelling.

Interests

I'm quite the outdoorsy type gal when I want to. That might include bike riding, snowboarding, hiking, camping and the works. Otherwise, I hang out with friends, play video games on occasion, walking, shopping, exploring, amongst other things. If you want to hear me talk non-stop, then bring up cooking. I love trying new foods and I also love to cook food as well. I can cook most things, and if I can't, then I am willing to learn. I am more well known to cook Southwestern, Cajun, REAL Mexican, select Italian dishes, and a couple of German dishes. I cook most things really. If any of those takes your fancy, then please message me and we will get along great.

I also have a hidden fascination for urban exploring for whatever it is. I have only done it once in Singapore and I wouldn't be opposed to exploring if you know of a good place. Either way, I can talk about this for ages as well. I've probably have researched the history on some of these places as well which makes it that much more interesting to explore and put all of the pieces together. #uselessfacts

Music, Movies, and Books

I typically listen to rock & roll. Mostly metal or some version of that. I also tend to listen to some jazz music as well. I really don't have a favourite type of film, but I do like comedies, horror, action films and stuff to that extent. I'll be honest. I don't read as much as I should. Hopefully I will get back into that sometime into the near future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my travel experiences over the years and I like to discuss everyone’s mission to travel. I find it very fascinating for everyone’s reasoning to get out. For me it’s a mixture of spiritualistic reasons and to find a place that makes me happy.

And for those who are interested, I would be happy to share some aviation stories too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd hope my love and friendship would be top priority, but if I am a guest in your house, then I'm willing to do my part if need be. I can cook up some good food. Just challenge me. I can do it. Also I can offer to do some cleaning or some other small tasks. For example, I volunteered in one of my host's catering business for a couple of hours.
