A guy once told me that I'm as witty as I am pretty and I think it was the best compliment I've ever had. I'm a 30 something who became a mother at a very young age and now that my child is grown I'm excited to finally start living for me and have some of the adventures I couldn't when I was younger. So far I have lived my life out of the perceived normal order, but I have no regrets. I'm a smart ass but I feel as though I've earned it. I really do try to be nice to everybody not to be confused with impress them, because at the end of the day I know I've put my best foot forward so if you think I'm a bitch I really don't care. I live by the motto, "If you don't have fun when you are with me, then there is something wrong with you". Life is a bout balance, giving and taking... I am a paramedic and a commonly mantra is, "Do no harm, but take not shit" which I feel is also good for daily life! A friend of my husband's once described me as "The scariest, most caring person" he has ever met. So in short, I'm a silly spaz with a big heart! When I was younger I used to care what people thought of me but now I've come to realize that if you don't like me it's probably because I don't want you to. I'm a very soulful person and place a lot of importance on positive energy and self motivation. I love music, it is a must have in my life. I used to have a lot of "friends" but now I only have a few good ones. There is a reason for this! That being said, one of my favorite hobbies is meeting new people. People come and go, be it for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. Live a life of gratitude and whether it is something bad or something good learn from the people you meet. I love the outdoors. I worship the sun and the water and the stars. OOOH! I love trees. I also secretly enjoy growing up. I think being an adult is cool. I enjoy coffee, wine, good food, photography, yoga motorcycles and traveling. I have been to 43 of the 50 states and Germany, and I'm looking forward to more international travel. Besides this brief little blurb, There's a lot to know and should fate bring us together, you will. In closing This whole life thing really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. Maybe it just sucks for them because they are just letting it happen to them rather than living it. It's not just about the outcomes of the choices you make and the chances you take, it's about how you react and what you do back! I've always believed (now more than ever) when shit gets deep, dig, otherwise you just become the shit you're standing in, and while it might suck at the time, at least you'll have a story to tell when you get out out of it and who doesn't like a good 'ol fashioned "no shit" story anyway! ;)

I enjoy movies immensely, mostly comedies, dramas and thrillers. Not a fan of horror and or violence.

I mostly ready young adult books. Nothing too serious. I also read a lot of scientific peer reviewed journals and articles pertaining to health and medicine, sociology and psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like there are many but if I have to pick one it would be defying statistics. I had a child as teenager and yet still put myself through college multiple times, have a healthy marriage, a beautiful home and an overall great life. I chose to use adversity to build character and better myself rather than using it as an excuse or crutch.

Yoga! I am a certified yoga teacher with a small studio in my home and a gorgeous plant filled patio, and both places are perfect for practicing.

Photography. I am an armature photography and I use that term only because I choose not to take money for my passion. I love capturing candid, in the moment shots along with posed portraits capturing hidden beauty.

Cooking! I love to cook for people and I love learning more about cooking. You teach me and I'll teach you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Excellent home cooked meals! I love hosting and treating my guests better than any hotel could. I even put mints on my guest pillows! My home is a great hang out when not out exploring the world. I have a fully stocked bar, 8 ft. pool table, dart board, karaoke, and small dance floor. Our backyard boasts a huge patio with fountain, fire table and fire pit, full sized outdoor couch, dining area, and strung cafe lights set the evening ambiance with a warm glow.
