ABOUT ME

We are both students at the University of Oslo. Kristin studies to be a teacher, and Helge is now finishing his master thesis in History.

We are experienced travellers, and we know the importance of getting to know locals where we travel. This is why we love couchsurfing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have had some amazing experiences in Asia when we traveled there for four fantastic months in 2011! We have been hosted by some great people, and hope to return the favor to all of them, and to continue the trend by opening our homes to others as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Helge has couchsurfed a couple of times before by himself. In 2009 he couchsurfed in Budapest, Hungary. The same summer he couchsurfed in Gothenburg, Sweden when he went to the Way out West festival there. Last year, on our train-journey through Eastern and Southeastern Europe, we have had some fantastic couchsurfing experiences with great hosts in Berlin, Prague, Budapest and Sofia. In Asia we surfed people's couches in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Philippines and China! It was fantastic!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Kristin is studying Norwegian language and litterature, and is very interested in both contemporary and older norwegian novels. We both like to read a lot, especially something from the places we visit!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helge: Been as far West as the US, been as far East as Japan, been as far North as Norway, and as far South as South-Africa.

Kristin: Visiting Iran -- a beautiful country with amazingly generous and welcoming inhabitants!
