Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Heard great stories about surfing and hosting in NZ, now I want to keep the spirit alive, meet new people, and contribute to the community!

Interests

Scuba Diving: this is a huge part of my life, and I respect the ocean from dusk til dawn. Spending my summers in Hawaii with my family scuba diving every single day, has brought us closer and has brought me closer to the ocean and all it has to offer a it's mysterious depths.

Snowboarding: what a rush. Living in Colorado I was very fortunate to be near the BEST snowboarding resorts the world has to offer (o.k. i am biased). I love the sport and I love the thrill of cold snow hitting your face on a nice powder day.

Backpacking/ Hiking: essential to a life of happiness. Happiness can fit inside my 60L bag, and it includes a tent, sleeping bag and dried food. Who knew you would need so little to accomplish so much. I have hiked the Colorado 14ers and have hiked glaciers in Iceland, and the Trolltunga Fjord in Norway, I hope to make more memories!

Music, Movies, and Books

Betty White is my gal. especially in The Proposal. I am a sap for any Nicholas Sparks movie, but of course, I need the occasional action film.

I love books of all kinds, I love books about love, horror, mystery, or the functions of the horse. I love books that will allow me to learn something new, or allow me to escape.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I backpacked Iceland and Norway. I saw sights that I didn't believe existed, fjords, glaciers, and mountains galore!

I am very blessed to have encountered so many amazing things, that naming one would be impossible.

I have traveled between the midwest several times seeing the National Sights of the USA including the Grand Canyon, Arches, Zion, Yosemite and so many more.

I have lived in New Zealand twice now, first it was Lincoln town, in Canterbury and now I reside in Palmy, on the North Island. I am very fond of the South island and it's wild ways!
