About Me

ABOUT ME

I am an explorer, a silent explorer. I believe in being completely open to life, and by extension to people. This isn't as black and white as it sounds, but then again nothing is. You live life, drink beer (personally I stay away from my native vodka), read, do, and you sort of coast along for a while, and that is all good. You're fine. But occasionally, life hands you gems- and you take them. For the love of God, you take them. I patiently wait for my moments, whilst reading my books, drinking my coffee and waiting for my avocados to ripen.

PHILOSOPHY

Do (more of) what makes you happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had good experiences, learning from people in more ways than I understood at the time. When two people meet, something is created. A lot of people come and go through our lives, but some stay. That isn't even really up to ourselves. When you are open, you can live stress free. Somewhere deep inside you always know what to do. In terms of giving and taking, I can only hope I've been able to offer something in return. Live and learn. And eat avocados.

Interests

I am deeply passionate about music. In one way or another, it is my future. What else..I used to dance for some 14 years. I read a lot, write a lot, drink a lot of coffee. The usual. I try not to limit myself to anything, but i'm definitely directed towards art, culture, philosophy- that sort of thing. In reality i'm quite content sitting on a stub in the middle of the woods, but if you ever get me out on the dance floor, watch yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Palladio by Jonathan Dee, Khaled Hosseini in general, and the Book thief by Markus Zusak. For the movies: Pay it Forward, Kon-tiki and last but not least, musically i'm going to go with Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Alt-J, to name a few. Over and out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took the train alone from Singapore through all of Malaysia, the east coast of Thailand, and from there the bus through Cambodia to Vietnam. That was alright, you know... I've had amazing experiences in life, most of them unexpected and almost all of them have been the simplest of things, reachable by anyone who believes in happiness. And yes, I've found this is something you must actively believe in. If you don't believe in magic, it'll never happen to you. You can have greatness without people, but you can't have people without the wonders of these great things around us- and that is what I believe should humble us down to simplicity. To happiness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to say "seitsemännensadannenkuudennenkymmenennen kerran". "Eyjafjallajökull" got nothing on Finnish. I can teach a lot of things I didn't know I could teach, and I believe anyone can. That's why we share, even when we don't know we are.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Myself- that's the most cliché, yet straightforward answer I can come up with.
