About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life is too short, so I should live so that not to waste even a second of it. Making the world better by making myself better in the first place. Never stop growing, learning and moving.
ABOUT ME
I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, but after any trip I love to be back home, because my heart is in Belarus whatever place I go. For me it is very important to be helpful at any point of my life - by explaining a theorem to a classmate who missed the class, or by bringing a cup of tea to an ill roommate, or by carrying heavy bags to help a granny who is passing by.
The more I live the more I realize that the world is full of wonderful places and kind, helpful, and nice people, and this what drives my desire to travel and meet even more great people.
PHILOSOPHY
Love and only love can make the life worth living. Love all, love everything that exist, and when the love fills in all your heart you will become truly happy, because you will see how the world loves you in turn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Staying with a host, not in a hotel is my preference for any trip since it is the best way of getting insights about a new place and also meeting awesome people.
Sometimes I travel together with my sister, Viktoria Pilinko, so you can check the references for both of us in her profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1000260158/references
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I stayed with a host in Hong Kong, this experience proved to me that staying with a host is definitely the best choice. At the moment we met he was in a process of writing a book and he was absolutely a man with huge life experience, so the evenings that we spent talking about life were fantastic in terms of new ideas I've learned from him.
My next trip was to Amsterdam, where I also stayed with hosts - the funny moment we had was when we all started speaking in our native languages (Ukrainian, Slovak, Belarusian, Russian, Czech) and we all understood each other :)
During our hitchhiking trip in the Balkans, summer 2014, my sister and me also stayed with hosts from CS. We had SO MUCH FUN and the best CS experience and ended up celebrating New Year 2015 in Estonia with a friend of our Dubrovnik CS host.
I am sure my future CS experience as a guest will be great fun, and I am looking forward to becoming a host, as soon as I have a chance to.
Interests
I love cooking - I really love experimenting with new ingredients trying to create a new recipe every time I cook;
I love riding a bike, when you have enough time to think about stuff that bothers you and enough speed to get rid of any negative emotions; for the same reason I am kinda addicted to ice skating;
I love theatre, ballet, music - I don't travel as much as I want, so I create a small vacation for myself by diving into the unearthly world of music.
I love traveling - that's what unites all of the CS-ers ;)
I love reading. Russian classical fictions or German authors on philosophy for brain feeding, Jules Vernes adventures for vocational reading, or any deeply emotional and touching novel, poem or fairytale - for curing soul from loneliness.
I love animals, especially dogs and cats. And yes, I acknowledge that the latter would never love me back - I know they only need my house and food, but I love them anyway :)
I love learning history by experiencing its heritage, that's why sightseeing and museums usually are on agenda for every trip)

Music, Movies, and Books
"Awakenings" (1990) and almost all movies with Robin Williams. "Green Mile" and "Forrest Gump" and many other movies with Tom Hanks. "Edward Scissorhands". "Man on the Moon" and "The Truman Show".
Music I like is very diverse. I definitely enjoy music of Louis Armstrong and Ray Charles, the rest really depends on my mood.
Reading is my hobby, and it is almost impossible to name one or a few favorite books, since I enjoyed almost every book I've read so far. I am lucky to be able to read Russian classical fiction in original language, so I am currently very much into exploring this huge pool of wisdom. Bulgakov, Dostoevsky, Lev Tolstoy, Bunin, Nabokov are among my favorite authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was hitchhiking in the Balkans for 1 month together with my sister. Couchsurfing helped us to discover this region by looking at new cities through the eyes of our amazing hosts.
8 countries, 6 hosts, 17 cities, 26 cars with hitchhiking... this is the statistics of the amazing trip we had.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to learn more about different cultures, learn new languages, tell people about my home country - Belarus. Sharing ideas, experiences, stories, traditions - that what makes any conversation interesting. I am also happy to cook some traditional food for my hosts;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happiness, love and crazy stories ;)
