About Me

Born in Korea and raised in both Seoul and Indiana (USA), I have developed a strong interest in cross-cultural exchange and international relations. Living in many different contexts has allowed me to discover the joy of traveling wide and far, thus almost all the money I earn immediately goes into a savings account for traveling. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, walking/hiking, and good wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to spend a few weeks backpacking in Europe after walking the Camino in Spain before I start my Masters program in international relations in September. Many friends have recommended using couchsurfing to me, and I'm glad to finally have the chance to try it out! I think couchsurfing would be a great way to meet locals and share stories/experiences together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Directing a 70 person flash mob performance in the center of Seoul

Teach, Learn, Share

"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not in Seoul for long periods of time, but I can host guests whenever I'm there. Many friends from college have come to stay, and I've taken them on hikes (Seoul is a very mountainous city), locals-only restaurants and Buddhist temples that can be hard to find.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, El Salvador, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, South Korea, United States
