About Me

I'm a very creative soul. Quite random at times, but I think random things make up a beautiful world! One random act of kindness a day keeps the frowns away! :)

Born and bread in Latvia, although moved to England in summer 2010 to pursue my creative destiny, and I can still be found there, unless adventuring elsewhere in the world:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people is one of the most exciting things to do! Travelling is the best way to do so, having friends across the globe is pretty damn awesome too :)

Interests

I've studied arts for 7 years, before graduating in July, but my biggest passion must be photography, as I find it a great way of communication and capturing a moment that would otherwise be gone from our memories. Also I'm very into cinematography and creating travel videos.
I have a special Ukulele named Rova, that I can just about play a song on, but I do improve at a speed of a new chord/a year.
Running! I will certainly run a marathon one day.
And you guessed it - I'm pretty keen on travelling also :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild - such a great story, that makes you think about life a bit differently, and not to take any day for granted. I'm a big Friends fan - that show never disappoints no matter how many times you've watched it, And so many more! Chris Marker is definitely an inspiration when it comes to visual story telling.

Music wise - anything goes really, depending on the mood. Big fan of Paolo Nutini, Kings of Leon , Queen and probably most things under the sun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Sierra Leone in 2013 and working within the local community, and getting taught beautiful life lessons, as well as donating blood over there for the first time ever!

Spent Christmas 2017 in Buenos Aires with a bunch of people from CS, that I had never ever met before! Met some wonderful people and had a fantastic first Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere :)

A week spent in a Shamanic Ashram in Bolivia - really soul cleansing, not just because there were llamas running around or the organic food or 6am mediation sessions, but mostly because of the peace the place provided, the time I had just for myself to reflect and just simply be, and of course the like-minded people who fed me with positive vibes and information :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Smile. Breath. Drink lots of water. Simple things make a lot of difference! ;)
