About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To eat and laugh my way through Europe

ABOUT ME

I am a girl who lives to travel and loves to laugh. In college, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where I lived for 4 months and fell in love with Europe. After making another quick trip to Europe this summer, I decided to quit my job and booked a flight back so my 2 best friends and I could backpack for 50 days (which is what I am doing currently!). I yearn to be culturally educated and to be a true citizen of the world, by establishing friendships and connections near and far. I believe the most rewarding and valuable part of traveling is the people you meet and the food you eat.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that each day is a gift, and nothing should be taken for granted. There is no greater way to live life than by helping others and remembering those who have helped you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After my first couchsurfing experience, I was hooked. I think this organization is a testiment to the goodness of the human race. Every single person I have met through the CS project has been selfless, generous, hospitable, and fascinationg. I cannot wait to payback the favor: the relationships I have built through this program are immense and speak volumes about CS and its memebers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my couchsurfing experiences have been incredibly memorable. My host in Lausanne took us on a tour of the vineyards outside of the city. We ended up slightly off course, finding ourselves climbing towering stone walls, crawling through a narrow tunnel and walking up a river in late October. Our clothes were ruined, mud was everywhere, but there was not a minute that passed that we were not hysterically laughing at the situation. It was quite an adventure, and it's little moments like these that make being a part of this community so special.

Interests

I love food, hiking, snorkeling, writing, sarcasm, meeting new people, a good nap, wildlife, and appreciate a good view
