CURRENT MISSION

I moved back to Hamburg a couple of months ago after a year abroad in the US. Enjoying life and having all of my friends close by :) Already having the next trip planned in the back of my mind.

ABOUT ME

My name is Kristin, I'm 29 and I used to live in Berlin, Germany, but I have a Nothern German heart.
I am an event management assistant and used to work at a concert venue before I quit my job to fulfill one of my biggest dreams, to live and work in the USA for one year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think Couchsurfing is a great way to really get to know the people & culture of a country - so I am always very thankful for everyone who is willing to host me or just wants to meet up. I once participated in a couchsurfing event in LA, which was amazing - there've been people from all over, just sharing stories and having a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started doing Couchsurfing in summer 2013 on my West Coast US road trip with my best friend. It was so much fun and we were really lucky with our hosts. Since then I mostly do couchsurfing when travelling, recently I've been in the US for 3 months and had an amazing time.

When it comes to travelling, I love to keep a good balance of activities: Must Do's are definitely beach hopping, discovering city hot spots, enjoying nature & landscapes, a little sightseeing - but not in a stressful way just so you can say "I've been to the Eiffel Tower". ;) Also I loooove going out, meeting new people and just having a good time and dance!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The USA road trip with my best friend in summer 2013! We drove up the West Coast starting in San Diego going up to San Francisco with a lot of great stops on the way. We visited Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. And if that wasn't yet enough we took the plane to hit New York City for one week! I really never wanted to go back again... I just love the US!
