About Me

CURRENT MISSION:

An actress, baker, painter with a bad case of wanderlust. I am also a co-producer in a female production company called Honey Head Films, partake in volunteer domestic disaster relief in the US, I dabble in photography and love hiking, live music, yoga, the outdoors, new places and unlikely friendships. I'm outgoing and genuine and trustworthy.

PHILOSOPHY

For most of history, people perceived the world with themselves at the center. Think about how crazy that is. I love reminding people that they're not alone and there's 6 billion tiny little worlds out there. The more we talk and share things, we can stop merely existing and start to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Amazing way to connect with the locals!

Interests

I am a full-time film actress and painter. Very creative. Love exploring. I enjoy socializing over a beer or wine, live music, seeing a show, history ect. I also am the kind of person who doesn't mind being alone. I will likely bounce between hostels and couch surfing for the month I am in Europe and hoping to meet many friends I can stay in touch with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love slow burn indie films like The Burning Plain and Winter's Bone, Sound of My Voice, all of Brit Marling's work. I program for Cucalorus Film Festival and appreciate all kinds of genres. I specifically work a lot in the horror film industry and have a bit of a following in America from that.

Shovels and Rope, SUSTO, Fleetwood Mac, Hank Williams, Amos Lee, Tegan and Sara, Bob Segar, Tom Petty, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Bon Iver, Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Explosions in the Sky...

I like reading books like Love Does and A Million Miles in a Thousand Years and The Noticer and Deep & Wide. I'm into the self-help types that change my perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave away 900 free hugs on Valentines Day in the middle of Times Square and got to see the the world just open up to me, people are so generous if you just take the first step.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to practice my Spanish and learn more about the culture.

I also teach painting and worked at a small homestead school in Texas where I taught children basic art techniques.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Free Haircuts! Basic ASL lessons!

I enjoy teaching people how to make my grandmother's sourdough bread. I have starter that's been in my family for 104 years and will bring it with me on my travels so that each host can have the opportunity to keep up the legacy.
