ABOUT ME

My name is Kristle, my old horse is called Zorro, my young horse is Shiloh, I play the accordion, piano and some guitar..I don't eat meat ( although I do cook meat for non-vegetarians) im a pescetarian. I am from Chicago, but haved lived in London, UK, Rome, Italia and Napa California..currently I'm in the Midwest in a beautiful little picturesque place called Galena... would describe myself as fun loving, witty, random, unique, considerate and open-minded. I certainly have my own style, dance to the beat of my own drum, am a free spirit and wild at heart. At home I have an international British cat called Chelsea and she is a diva. I have two American kitty girls called Cinque and Grae. If you stay with me, Cinque the orange cat will quickly become your best friend. She also plays the piano! I love music, art, playing piano, singing, writing, theatre, museums, fashion, THRIFTING, vintage, cooking, dancing, anything new and exciting, nature, exploring, getting lost, laughing, culture, horseback-riding, snowboarding, hiking, biking, anything exciting, exhilirating, or humiliating..it's all good fun! I love working with people that have physical or mental disablities, animals and children. I have a lot of patience, and they hold a special place in my heart.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because it is full of color, I don't like to match. I thrive to be different, and hope to leave a positive impression on those I meet..and take wisdom and life's secrets from the people I come across. I live my life to breathe in the fresh air, to twirl in circles and stare at the sky, and to wear flowers in my hair. I'm a dreamer, and ad adventurer. I believe in everyones dreams. If I can't see the entire world, at least I can meet people from all around the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to participate in the CS2 project because I think it is important for cultures to mingle and to get to understand and know eachother..acceptance is very important! I love meeting new people, and making friends is just awesome!!! You can never have enough positive people in your life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with one wonderful woman in Greenwich..and had an excellent time, and had a gentleman stay with me whilst I was living in Galena. In London, I attended many CS events..which were always a great time! Met all my mates in Napa through couchsurfing, and organized some fun events for us. All my friends in Roma came from the CS network...It's just really been a positive experience for me all in all. I love to dive into the local couchsurfing scene and meet some new locals/travellers.
Hosted two awesome Spanish guys at my flat in London, I get loads of requests every day, but unless they say something personal I typically don't respond! My hubby isn't as keen about CS as I am so I can only rarely host, when I connect with someone & beg him to! I'm quite happy to meet you and show you around London! Just drop me a line..

Interests

horseback riding, playing the piano and accordion, attempting to play the guitar, theatre, taking photos, city life, country life, cycling, fashion-especially thrifting and recycled fashion -- I am obsessed with thrift stores and rocking second hand clothing, vintage, culture, theatre, art, music, singing, writing, dance, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, nature, exploring, etc etc..anything invigorating, slightly dangerous or embarrassing is always a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a big movie person, I don't really pick favorites and don't even ask me about celebrities...I'm so clueless! ..but I enjoy going out to the cinema to see the new films and watch a lot of foriegn films. I love subtitles and the quirky, unpredictable, more taboo movies. I do like scary films because I enjoy being frightened a bit. I love music, almost all genres..I like to play music and have jam sessions with friends. I listen to a lot of world music and enjoy hearing songs in other languages. So many books on my bookshelf...I go on reading binges, but mostly I like to read true stories with strong male or female characters that have endured pain or a serious struggle in life and have over come it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

shook Johnny Cash's hand in Jamaica. Been stopped in the street and photographed by fashion journalists in both San Fran and East London. Camping in the red woods in Cali, snowboarding in lake Tahoe. Played Cannon in D at Union station in LA. And a large handful of serendipitous experiences shared with strangers and friends across the globe.
