About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From everywhere I've been I've always had the most fun hanging out/ staying with locals. Hostels and the people that stay there are often very similar and you have the same conversations over and over again. I like seeing how other people live, especially the different types of food that people eat. I love cooking (although I'm a terrible lead chef. Great kitchen hand though) and learning new dishes around the world and I hope that I can add some more cuisines to my repertoire.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Led Zeppelin, pink Floyd, Bob Marley, quantic, supertramp, Beethoven, Stephan bodzin, solee, so many others
Books: the brothers Karamazov, crime and punishment, psychology of the unconscious, the holographic universe, 1984
Movies: enter the void, Mr nobody, Tarantino, one flew over the cuckoos nest, fight club, once upon a time in america

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sailed across the north Atlantic Ocean (Greenland to Amsterdam) at the start of winter with no sailing experience during the storm season. That was easily the craziest thing I've ever done and probably will do

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently learning how to surf and still learning guitar

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am incredibly respectful of people's home and cultures. I always clean up after myself immediately and insist on helping out if possible. I'd say it's virtually impossible to offend me and I encourage you to give me your best banter.
I also have way too many funny stories of how I've nearly died doing seemingly fun but retrospectively stupid things, haha.
If i'm staying with a host, I'll do my best to adjust my schedule based on my host and do things that they want to do.
I am looking forward to cooking with my hosts and learning new cuisines if they feel like it of course.
I'm not here for a free bed, I insist on paying equally and buying you - at the very least- a meal from your favourite restaurant
