I am studying physics (Optics) with basis on engineering applications, but I am pretty interested in most areas of study and life. I enjoy a good sunset, especially with a cool quality brew, and generally peaceful moments. I also have a passion for sailing, and grew up sailing dinghies. I am now fixing up an old wreck of a larger sailboat, and plan to sail around - also visiting high latitudes - and generally explore areas difficult to reach by other means.

I also enjoy hiking expeditions and have recently started climbing and mountaineering. I am also hungry for trying out new things and learning about new cultures and ways of life! I have a passion for broad studying, and enjoy reading philosophy and the humanities, as well as social science.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am completely new to couchsurfing, but as I want to do some "small scale" traveling soon it could be cool to try out. I'm still in college, living in a dorm, so my ability to house others is currently very limited (I also have a roommate), but once I get out it will be fun to have people stay over and meet lots of new people.
