Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Kris and I am a half Danish/ half American currently finishing a dual masters degree in China and International relations. I live in Denmark now, but have lived in Beijing for the last 6 months (I left before the Corona virus so no worries there). I love to meet people from all over the world. Send me a message and I'd be happy to share a coffee or a beer and a great conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find that the best experiences I have while traveling happen when I leave the tourist traps behind and get to know some people living in the place I am visiting. I love meeting people from all over the world and seeing the side of a city that can only be found through a locals eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books
anything by Neil Gaiman or Michael Crichton
Kafka on the Shore- Haruki Murakami
my music tastes are pretty diverse, I can enjoy just about anything. But I do have a weakness for 90s pop
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Denmark with only 24 hours notice. I was accepted into a university program at the last minute, so I had to quit my job, pack, say goodbye, and be on a flight the next morning. I moved to a country where I didn't know anyone, had nowhere to live, and didn't speak the language. Now five years later I can say it was the best decision I've ever made.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a certified tour guide in my city of Aalborg, Denmark so I can show you everything from historical viking artifacts to the best night life in town.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook, and would be happy to share some traditional Danish recipes with you. If you have any special requests I might be able to bring something from home for you to experience.
