About Me

Hey.
As I am new to this, I don't really know what to write here. But I'll give it a try.
I am a social worker, at the moment mostly working with refugees and families.
I am also trying to become a published writer. I have written three novels so far and am working on a forth one.
I have two cats and am strongly thinking about getting a dog, too.
And I really like to travel but sadly have neither the time nor the mone to do it as often as I would like to. But who has? ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend told me about it and I thought I should give it a try. It sounds really interesting.

Interests

Writing, reading, my cats, going to the gym, high quality tv series, movies and ofcourse travelling. I also am kind of a boardgame nerd, as it is very common in Germany to play them for most people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musicwise I am more a "whatever sounds good at the moment" kind of guy.
My favorite movies are: "Forrest Gump, Fight Club and Pulp Fiction", but I am also a huge fan of the recent superhero movies, especially those from marvel.
My favorite book is "Tender Bar" from J.R.Moehringer, just a great novel about growing up and what it (might) means to be a man. Second favorite book is "On writing", from Stephen King. Any one, that wants to be a writer, should read that one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It really depends on what you consider amazing. In my job I see so much misery every day, but sometimes I really can help people out and make a difference. Like finding a home for a family that has been treated so badly, that they are too afraid to go back to their place. It is an amazing feeling, even if those days are rare.

If I would go for an amazing experience it would be looking over the mexican jungle from the top of a pyramid. If I looked in the right direction, there was nothing man made to be found. It really seemed like the view had not changed in thousands of years. It was really amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not sure, what I should put down here.
Everything I bring along I guess. I am a very open person, so if people are willing I probably share most of my life's stories with them. There are a lot and many even interesting. ;)
Other than that, I like to bake sometimes, so I might do something like that as a small thank you for accepting me to their home.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Denmark, England, France, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey
