Hi everybody,
My name is Kristy, I am 24 year old and I love taking pictures, my job, avocados, being organized, exploring the world we live in and spinach lasagna.

I am easy going, sometimes little bit shy, but sometimes too talkative (especialy after a nice glass of chilled white wine). I am reliable, I love big cities and their nightlife but I also like to walk through vast forests and think about the purpose of life. I have constant itchy feet. I am passionate about traveling, checking cheap flights all the time, cannot stay in a place for more than a month. I love cooking, baking, hosting dinners. I love swedish fikas, spanish pintxo poteas, English breakfast, Czech old cities with the history breathing into your face, german's pretzels and plenty more. l love photography, I think it's a kinda way of traveling to the past, traveling to a memory of ours, reliving the past.

My philosophy?
Live in the moment. Say what you feel, do what you wanna do. Don't waste time going to places you have alredy seen before, because you might not have time to see the rest of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a former au-pair I believe that being with locals is the best way how to get to know the country and its culture properly. That's why I think that couchsurfing is a big help when travelling - you not only meet someone who knows the local culture better than any paper guide, but you might also make friends for life!
I tried couchsurfind for the first time in April 2015 when backpacking around Europe with a friend of mine and I fell in love with it. It made me realize that it is not only about providing people with a couch/bed, but way more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped off a bridge into unknown waters in Orio. Found my peace in Parque El Palmeral in Alicante, while wandering under bunch of palms during a really hot day. Started working abroad when 16. Chased the Northern Lights after an amazing dog sledge tour in the vast forests of swedish Lapland. Partied all night long in Pamplona during San fermin festival. Slept in a hospital when the airport closed at midnight and all the hotels were booked already. Found a secret hot spring pool in Iceland which almost no one knew about. Drove 999 kilometres around Sicily. Spent Christmas in Egypt. Almost died when searching for Dolphins around Zanzibar. Walked up to Trolltunga. Ate way too much pizza in Rome. Oops, was it one thing?
