We’re family of 4. Kristyna, Michael, Kryštof (2,5) and Šimon (1) We love to travel, meeting new people, discovering different places and tasting their local cuisine.

We are from the Czech Republic, where we live in the city at the moment.

I used to dream about travelling the world before I had kids. One day I decided to make this dream come true and booked a round-the-world ticket! This was in 2015 and I absolutely loved my experience. I went back on another road trip in 2019 to South America. I miss the times so I would like to travel again but now with my family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because there is never enough friends and we enjoy meeting new people no matter about their cultural background. This cultural exchange is probably the most exciting aspect of Couchsurfing for me - I absolutely love experiencing the places I visit through interactions with locals who really know what the place has to offer.

We are never looking for just a bed to sleep on. We really want to get to know you, your family, learn about the culture and I would also love to share as much as I can about my experience and places I've lived in.

Interests

I used to be quite shy and a bit too careful when it came to new adventures. Ever since my travels I have become quite an adrenaline junkie and I was always up for a new challenge and exciting adventure. But My new chapter and interest is my family now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can listen to pretty much anything. It's always nice to listen to some good old songs from my teenage years for a bit of that nostalgia ;)

Books: well I don’t read much honestly but my husband does 🙂 I’am sure he would share his thoughts on some good book. ,

Movies/TV shows: we Love them. Love Netflix. Iam more of series girl: Gilmore Girls, Friends, Grimm, Love Actually... There are way too many. Our kids love any fairytale 🙂 Also we love any film that has something to do with travelling, hiking, backpacking, camping....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have quit my job, packed my bag and went backpacking on my own for 8 months.

I moved to different country alone and started a new life...

I built house for a poor family in Cambodia...it was long time ago but amazing.

Teaching English in Cambodia was an extraordinary experience.

I can teach you to make some cakes; Czech language (especially how to say beer- very important} or cook Czech recipes

I can learn anything....I love to try new things. Whatever you have to offer, I am up for it.
