ABOUT ME
"Kristashio sounds like pistachio, and pistachio is a nut. You my friend are a nut." - My amazing friend Panda who has a thing for our friendship and particular nut varieties.
Travel is a most definitely a bug and I've caught it full-force. I love to explore and LIVE through the very heart-beat of places, people and events. I have a guitar named Cerise and my favourite words in my two fluent enough languages are spelunking and hibou (french for owl, say it out loud and you'll discover why I love it).
I'm an avid supporter of the Canadian Indie music scene, activism, environmentalism and the Me to We philosophy. I'm very easy-going and enjoy a good cup of any hot beverage really, knitting, singing, vegetarian food, LAUGHING, chatter, concerts in small venues and spending real moments with others.
I love the fact that as humans we are able to embrace moments, others and truly engage with our surroundings. I think it's so important to live every moment with pizazz.
Can't tell you all about myself, but I hope we can pick up this conversation together sometime soon. I know nothing about you yet! :)
PHILOSOPHY
All you need is love.

Music, Movies, and Books
Let's talk movies. Yep.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driving to Banff, I was napping in the back seat and just woke up to see the Rocky Mountains go by upside down, almost like a green rolling sea of trees against a glass blue sky. It was truly breath-taking.
Eating lunch next to a gigantic Norwegian fjord and being reminded how little we are in the scheme of nature and its beauty.
Climbing a mountain. Heart mountain actually. I would say I'm not the most active person in the world, so when we reached the summit I was so exhausted but beaming with pride.
Dogsledding in the Swedish Polar Circle.
In the twilight of the night, peering over the ledge of a rooftop in Chefcheouan, Morocco hearing the call to prayer from 3 different mosques. Incroyable.
Knowing that your impact of love and support on an individual's life makes each of their days better. My experience working with L'Arche in Trois-Rivieres was one of the most difficult and trying of my life, but those people have so much to give and I feel so privelged to be impacted through working with them.
Hugging amidst the waves of the Alantic on a beach that was all ours near Bordeaux, France.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to knit/crochet! If you ask in advance, I can even bring needles and yarn. Also, I`m a big fan of song. Sharing is best! DANCING is huge on my list too, I can show you a new game on the dance floor that is just great! I have lately become the campus haircutter, if you need a trim, let me know!
Things I'd love to learn: your language!! Even if it's just the bare basics. New creative veggie recipes, tips and tricks of travel, how to surf!
