About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently a year and a half into a life changing decision to quit everything and go back to school, move to another country and just generally put myself into challenging situations. It has certainly paid off, to say the least!

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, this is always hard to fill out. Luckily, I was recently described by a friend of mine as a vivacious, brilliant, and independent young woman of Lebanese descent who loves experiencing everything and fears only running into nerdy guys she used to date. I don't think I would ever say the vivacious and brilliant part on my own, but I'm not going to argue with it haha. I definitely agree with being someone who is independent and loves new experiences. My last few adventures: moving to Frankfurt, traveling to Thailand... not sure what's next?

PHILOSOPHY

More or less people are in control of their own happiness. Life is too short to be unhappy or to be unpleasant. So my goal is to be happy and nice at least 80% of the time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the concept! Its all about putting good things out there and getting something good back. I've just started attending weekly meetings and had my first couple of surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually had "surfers" who were other travelers I'd met on vacation before I found out about and joined CS. I just recently started hosting through the site and will be sure to continue in the future.

Interests

Economics, soccer, reading, learning how to do random things like caulk a tub or fold a dollar into a polo shirt... stuff that may or may not be useful.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to Led Zeppelin to wake up, Bangkok radio stations to study, and a little "Bach by the sea" to sleep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I camped in a tepee in the middle of nowhere Nova Scotia. The camp had a giant lake and absolutely no ambient light pollution. I've never seen so many stars in my life. I woke at dawn the next morning to more amazing sights and sounds: loons and a light mist on the surface of the lake. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the fundamentals of economics and whether your country's fiscal policies are sustainable? I can also make sweet potato pie from scratch.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States
