My name is Kris, and I’m based in Warsaw, Poland.

I plan to ride across North and South America on a bike in 2025. I don’t have a detailed plan yet, and I probably never will - it will be a spontaneous trip :)

I enjoy mountain hiking, bike riding, music, and discovering the world.

In the past, I’ve done some longer and shorter hitchhiking trips (Poland to Armenia was the longest) as well as bikepacking trips (2,000 km across Chile and Argentina was the longest). The longest doesn’t always mean the best, but the ones I mentioned were great. :) I’ve also done many shorter trips. I particularly enjoy mountain hiking in the Carpathians (in the Polish, Slovak, Ukrainian, and Romanian parts).

I spent the last few years working as a designer in geotechnics. This means I was designing ground improvements and foundations for buildings and other structures in challenging soil conditions. I feel great satisfaction when I see schools or bridges I helped design now serving people. I really enjoyed this work, but it’s time for a break. So, I decided to quit my job and travel. My time isn’t limited - I’ll travel until I feel bored or tired.

I’d really appreciate meeting new people and doing things together. I’m open to any kind of suggestion - both the crazy ones and the more relaxed ones :) I like rock concerts (actually, not only rock), cinema, theatre, museums, galleries...

I speak Polish and English. I also studied Russian for six months, and I’m currently learning Spanish, but i still need to practice a lot :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked about 2000 km during the winter to celebrate New Years Eve in Albanian beach, to sleep in the cave and come back, also by hitchhikign.
