PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
reasonably diverse:I say my participation level is at best, a tour guide, in the middle, tea on a patio, in the least, information on my loving city. I'm busy with work but I fit new experience in where I can.
Interests
foodie. thrift stores versus vintage boutiques, vinyards, walking A LOT, hiking & biking, the mountains, the water, cabins and lofts, farms and the city, fire places, relaxing yet strange music like Will Oldham and Yo La Tengo, Texas, Savannah where I once went to school, Canada, trains but not planes, old architecture, old people, young people...witty, nice people, fine & indulgent things with intervals of grit and chaos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed at a hippie commune recently and it was a good jump to the far end of the scale. I went into it not wanting to go at all and by the end I had a fantastically memorable time. Not so much into the lack of plumbing and hygiene though.
demystifying the experience helped me relax but it also showed me what I was and was not cool with.
Teach, Learn, Share
equestrian care, secret places, finger knitting, sewing, new music, new movies, new places, found objects, furniture refinishing, gardening...
I picture myself learning to play a trumpet, getting to play on steel drums, learning how to make crazy drinks, walking barefoot on a hot tin roof, trading clothes, getting handmade jewelry, making friends with the least likely.
Countries I’ve Visited
