About Me

I am from Jerome. A small (about 500 people) artist community nestled on the side of mingus mountain in northern az. When I lived there I worked as a tattoo artist but also love to paint, draw, hike and swim.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided that to learn, grow and better myself as an artist, and personally, that I should travel and find like minded people willing to teach and share. I am also wwoofing along the way as a means to travel and also to learn about organic farming

Interests

I love art. Painting, drawing, tattooing, observing. But also hiking, jogging, swimming, basically anything that brings me to the outdoors. Rock climbing, taxidermy, and sign gilding are a few things on my random list of things I would like to do though

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven't had TV for years and rarely watch movies. But music I love all kinds. Lately been getting into more bluegrass but listen to other genres daily. The White Stripes, The raconteurs, black keys, Prince,Micheal Jackson,Hayes, devil makes three , trampled by turtles, ocms, steel wheels, queens of the stone age, lovage, beastie boys, pink floyd, anything funky, you get the idea. Books. I don't read as often as I should. But loved all of Chuck Palinuk's books. Only have read Brave new world from Huxley but loved that. Other than that I mostly read art how to books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think what I am doing now is amazing to me. I packed my car, quit my jobs (although I still tattoo and paint), and traded my apartment for the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanted to explain a little more about wwoofing for those who don't know. Wwoofing stands for world wide opportunities on organic farms. It's a website that connects you with host farms that will let you stay and feed you in return for working on the farm. It's a great way to travel and meet great people

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider myself a pretty decent cook. I am willing to cook, clean, walk your dog, whatever to help out in return. Also I am no pro by any means but I am willing to share what I know about art, yoga, organic farming/sustainable living and anything else I know
