ABOUT ME

Australian couple (aged 24 & 29) trying to get the 'travel bug' out of our systems (if thats ever possible) on a 6 month holiday around india, europe and the US (we'll be more than happy to provide a couch/spare bed once we're back home but it's currently tennanted!).

We're both easy-going, considerate non-smokers who enjoy a social drink (or two...), sometimes a dance, meeting new people, exploring new places and having a laugh.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopefully by surfing some fun and interesting peoples couches across europe, and for when we get home I've already begun collecting all sorts of info on brisbane and local events etc and I'm looking forward to hosting people from all over the world in our home city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was great joining the Darmstadt group while we were there for 4 weeks as Jase was working. They get together for dinners/drinks/movie nights etc often and made us feel so welcome- it was so nice to have a bunch of friendly faces and local things to do in a foreign city.

Movies I love are Amelie, Love Actually and the Garden State. Any with a good soundtrack, and also scary movies/thrillers.

music...all kinds... by Kings of Leon, the Killers, The Strokes, Ben Harper, the Shins, James Pattinson, Frank Sinatra, the eagles, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, old Blink182, Lagwagon, Antiskeptic. When I'm in the mood I like some hip-hop and stuff you can dance to :-)

> Recently- the taj mahal. breathtaking!
> Spending 11 days on a sail boat around the islands off the coast of north queensland
> Getting stranded in Laos along the Mekong river overnight when our fastboat smashed into a rock. (funny story about the 'chilli soup' if you're interested)

things we can teach (if you want to learn)... how to make pavlova, ride a motorcycle, making tissue paper flowers or good luck stars, basics of photoshop, sketching in perspective,

would love to learn...salsa dancing, italian cooking, greetings and counting in your language, play guitar!

share... hopefully a drink or two and some laughs?? (and maybe some of the above)
