Seriously, I have no clue why I started the thing above, I guess it just started itself without me. Maybe it will give you a brief glimpse through my skull into what my brain is partly made of.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Registered some time ago for no reason. I actually love the idea of couchsurfing. I have been hosted once and it was great! I have never hosted anybody through CS though (In Poland I had not conditions for that, in Netherlands never received a request). Hope to experience more :)

I have a quite eclectic range of interests, but I do believe it converges at some point and I hope to find it one day...
Science. Science is amazing. My view of the world is definitely rooted deeply in science. I have chosen to push our boundaries on knowledge and understanding by doing a PhD, but for me science is something more than a work I do. For me, science is like a mental prothesis for better understanding the world around.
I really do love boarding games. Actually I have met many of my best friends through playing games together.
Music is with me all my life – my father was an amateur musician and is a self-proclaimed audiophile, so house was usually filled with sounds of his many audio systems. There was a time I played guitar, but it is a history now. Still, there is nothing like stealing some time from the busy schedule to immerse yourself in the vast richness of excellent music we have access to.
My interest in art history is a Stockholm syndrome – my long-time girlfriend is a passionate art history master and loves to tell me all about it.
My passion for psychology goes hand in hand with my belief in science – I have the drive to understand how the world works, with the amazingly complex human creatures included. Hope I will find more time to read up on us.
And flow arts! I have started spinning poi in 2017 (if you don't know it by all means google it and get amazed). I do it for two reasons. First, it is just a great feeling and an intricate skill that I develop for the pure joy of being able to improvise and surprise myself with the movements that seem to emerge naturally. Second, it is a good practice of discipline, that I do because I see going for mastery in anything you do as a virtue. I can't wait to pick up more different props!

Hitchhiked from Łódź in Poland to Lisbon in Portugal and back. It took us about a month. (The profile photo is taken during this trip – as you can see we are trying (and trying...) to get a ride to Toulouse. I must warn you, it seems like nobody is going to Toulouse)

I can teach some poi spinning and, if (and only if) you are interested, mathematics and physics (except astrophysics and relativity, not my thing).
