Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Up until December 2015, I had never traveled before. A good friend convinced me to travel with her so I bought a ticket for Costa Rica. That summer I also started getting involved in community organizing with the Bernie Sanders campaign. A little more than a year later, I've quit my corporate job and have been travelling East & West for a chance to see a different way of life here in the US. Houston is home, but I don't plan to be there long term and have been enjoying the opportunity to work and travel . I hope to go overseas sometime next year and my goal would be to work on a farm at some point next year.

As a side note, I do not host because I do not own or rent my own home. I long term crash with my best friend and my sublet in Erie, PA is done on the 11/15/16. I am hoping to change that by moving to Pittsburgh and renting my own space again and hosting myself!

After working 3 months endlessly to stop trump I have accepted that there are a lot of systemic problems that elections alone can not solve. I'm done grieving, but before I get back to work to fighting for people and community I need a mental and emotional break.
