COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not on this website at all. However I have spent the last 5 years travelling around my home country New Zealand. Hitchhiking, meeting lovely strangers who quickly become friends. Many beautiful experiences of pitching tents on front yards, beautiful meals and long eveings chatting under the stars.
When I have my own place I am very keen to return the experience!

Interests

Outdoors, horseriding, mountainbiking, mountain trekking.
Art, painting, drawing, anything creative/messy!
Meditation (particularly vippasana), Falan Gong, Awareness, natural health.
Science, animals, ecology, philosophy.
Dance Parties, my partner puts on all the major dance parties in Motueka, my home town. Love being the only sober one in all the booty shaking madness! Love music. Would love to have a go at DJing sometime...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, but have spent too much time living away from a screen. Somebody educate me!!
I love pretty much all music; from the deepest darkest drum and bass to the ultra light and fluffy new age hippy music. I particularly love anything phat, funky, bassy, jazzy, creative. Particulary dub, ambience and triphop.
I dislike teenage pop. And country music needs to be really good for me to appreciate it.
Books? I love the idea of them but my concentration somewhat lacks. I read a lot of non fiction, as I love to learn and it forces me to concentrate!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a half marathon on my last birthday! With very little preparation and a lot of determination!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have jampacked a lot of experiences into my short life!
I have an inquiring mind that has gathered a lot of information about the environment, animals (especially horses), gardening, spriritually, religion, natural health, campaign managment, art.
Circus arts degree.
Ecology degree.
Previous work: stablehand, gardener, conservation ranger, nature guide, outdoor adventure guide (Kayaking, white water rafting, rok climbing, ice climbing etc), helped build an eco-lodge, farm hand (dairy and deer), pest control (taken me to some of the very remote places in NZ that very few people have seen), campaign manager, blowing giant bubbles(!!), training racehorses, horse trek guide, massage, and soon i will go study art!
Practical person who has had the great experience of living self suffiently- thats no power, no car, an hours walk away from civilisation, no bathroom, water from nearby stream, grown own food...
