Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It all started with me and my girlfriend getting on a bus to Amsterdam without booking any place to stay. On our way there we made an account at Couchsurfing and luckily found an amazing host who was willing to take us right away. And it was one of our best experiences ever!

I also used to be very very introverted but thanks to starting shooting videos for YouTube I was able to get better at talking to others. Now I want to expand on that by meeting more people and making friends. I also dream about traveling more outside of Europe and the best way to travel is definitely by meeting locals, who know the best places and can introduce us to the local culture. Just as we experienced on our first trip to Amsterdam!

Interests

From 2011 to 2018, I built my own soc. network accounts with a total of over 900,000 followers. Then I quit producing content as I outgrew it (it was mainly targeted at teenagers) and also because a wise guy once said "Only make content that you yourself would like to watch and follow". That's when I decided to only continue once I would find I would like and would be good at. I'm still trying to figure that out.

From that, I got into marketing, web design, and e-commerce where I could use my accumulated knowledge from creating popular content for 7 years. Now I have my own e-commerce company.

I like cooking, watching Netflix, playing our collection of board games and I love learning new skills and ideas!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a music preference. I enjoy pop, rock, metal, alternative, indie, psytrance... I´m more about what mood I need at the moment, so I build a specific Spotify playlist for work or a party. But I always prefer my music on the positive side to keeping my mood up.

I watched most mainstream movies and series (especially on Netflix). My favorites are the Lord of the Rings, Bojack Horseman, Death Note, The Witcher, Sex Education, Marvel Movies, and Nature Documentaries. From crime series, I loved the most Money Heist, Breaking Bad, and Narcos.

I read all the Harry Potter books and a loot of other fantasy books. These days I´m all about non-fiction books like interesting biographies like More Than Enough and self-development like Atomic Habits and Essentialism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a YouTube Play Button for 100 000 subscribers (the old one) and for a brief moment, I had the biggest profile at TikTok in the Czech Republic (when it was still Musically).

I also built a cosmetics e-commerce company with my mom, who designs our products, and my sister, who is the best customer support. :)

I graduated with A levels from German after my German teacher wanted me to leave school because I was so bad at it. But I got the last laugh!

I had the privilege of being invited to an expedition to Chernobyl and seeing the aftermath of the reactor explosion.

We're pretty good at cooking (at least that's what our friends and cats are saying) and we also have some entertaining stories. We can teach you Czech and even something about our culture/food.
