About Me

Don't even try to pronounce my name, it can surely mess your tongue! Just call me Kris/Chris.

I was born and lived most of my life in Poland, now, as a student of local med school, a share my life between two cities - Bydgoszcz and Poznań.

The love of travelling and learning foreign languages has been provided to me by my parents, who kept on pushing me further away from home as I was a kid. And good heavens, I thank 'em!

My life's aim is to learn and master 10 foreign languages in my life, that is: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Swahili. When I will achieve that (probably when I will be around 150 y/o), I'm gonna start learning Hungarian then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Students are strange type of people. They are always hungry and sleepy. But they also always try to grasp as many social interactions as they possibly can. And that's what couchsurfing is for. Never in your life will you have late night conversations with total strangers who in no time become your close friends. Worth a try, believe me.

Interests

Foreign languages - I'm a language nerd, if you haven't noticed yet ;)

Music - as a musical liberal, I hereby declare that all musical genres are good, but some are more... pleasant than others. But I like 'em all.

Computer and video games - nothing is better than playing a few rounds of HoMM with your ol' pals.

Science - I study medicine, what did you expect?

Art, culture - just show me a painting of Caspar David Friedrich and I will bring you a present.

Films - I've probably seen 'em all. Most of. Well, not really, but I love watching both films and TV series.

Board games - yeah, of course when accompanied by a beer or two, I always try to take one or two when travelling. Of course, if they don't halt me on airport for my luggage being a lil' bit too fat.
