About Me

I WILL BE ON TRIP 10TH - 28TH AUGUST, SO CAN'T ACCEPT ANY SURFERS THEN.

That is always hard thing - I should say - I'm awesome, open-minded, talkative, smart, love to learn and meet new people, etc...

I would like to think most of above are true but for sure not as much as I want.

In general I'm curious, like to hear stories (and tell too), learn about different cultures not only from books, but from people. Like to hear local legends and stories.

"The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say. "
(J. R. R. Tolkien "Lord of the Rings")
This quote summarze well what life is about - constant travel, new experience, and we never know where it will lead us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Started with trip to Russia, when wanted to not only see the country but also meet people, get to know Russia from personal perspective. It was great experience. And I travelled few times more with it. Already made some friends with who I am in contact.

As host, I want to give back what I get from my hosts. Also, talking to travellers from all around the world gives great new ideas about where, and when to go. And just nice to show my city to travellers.

Interests

With interesting people, all topics can be interesting. But what I do like especially is:
photography, books, movies, local culture, board games, history... listenig to people who are passionate about something.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - At first place for sure "Lord of the Rings" by J. R. R. Tolkien, that I read when I was 8 (yea, I was a geek kid).
In general I like fantasy and sc-fi (Neil Gaiman, Jacek Dukaj, Ursula leGuin, Frank Herbert, Andrzej Sapkowski, and more)
But also classic and modern (Bulghakov, Kafka, Show, Twain)

Music - from classic, through reggae and rock to folk (especially Irish)

Movies - again sci-fi (BattleStar Galactica, Game of Thrones, Interview with Vampire, and more), classics - 12 Angry Men, all by Smarzowski, Tim Burton, Jarmousch, Lynch

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lone travel from St. Petersburg to Baykal Lake. Met amazing, genuine people. See intriguing cities. Certainly it was a great experience.

I hope most awesome is still ahead.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell about my city, not only the most turistic places but also some cool, but not so well-known. I can teach Polish. Maybe there is something more...

I want to learn about your country, your city. Want to learn local customs and habbits.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, talk about history, culture, literature, museums, travels.
I can make better-then-mobile-selfie portraits, but I'm, not any pro photographer.
I can cook for you.
