About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Offer What I Have

ABOUT ME

I find myself always exploring and creating.
I come from St Paul/Minneapolis area in the United States but have since relocated to Steamboat Springs, CO where i met my husband.
I work in a small privately owned Organic and Supplement Market. I am so passionate about homopathic remedies and herbs. I am a strong believer in Organics. Eating well is an investment.
Sometimes i wish i was like an Insomniac, and didnt have to sleep because there is just too much i want to learn, and alas, not enough hours in the day.
I love language, although i admit, my ability to retain quickly and correctly is not as I would like it to be. But that doesnt discourage me.
I find travel extremely important, especially as an artist. There is no other kind of ecstasy I get when I am traveling and exploring something new. I want to find a way to communicate these feelings through my art and convince the world of possibilities.
I love big cities and busy life, but i am hoping to find myself settling in the slow lane. My ideal is to have a small house in Norway, maybe one in Alaska too, and just live. Nothing fancy, enough money to travel and to sustain my coffee addition. I am a very independent person, i never mind being alone, but of course on the other hand love company just as much. I absolutely love the outdoors, snow shoeing, hiking, canoeing among others.
If i could choose my ideal climate, i would pick somewhere between 50-60 F (10-15 C). (Spoken like a true Northerner) I absolutely love chilly weather. I love mittens, hats, scarves, the works.
Coffee is a huge part of my life. I have thought about perhaps one day opening some kind of small shop. I have worked in a privately owned coffee buisness where we work with raw beans and roast them ourselves. I love to sit down, drink a hot cup of coffee and be in good company.
On almost every Saturday in August i cook and garden with my Grandma.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can now say that i have proudly slept on my first foreign couches, and i have never had better experiences. This is a tremendous project and one of the best ways to find new people and just to learn about life. i strongly encourage anyone to participate and see what is waiting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like Above, I have had only enjoyable experiences. I am always amazed at the kindness of people and the joy they get just to help each other out. Yes, my friends, there are still genuine people out there who care about lending a helping hand (in this case, when you start to find those holes in your pockets...)

I believe my love for antiques has allowed me to stumble across some old classic stories and books. i love old classics. And some Andy Warhols. I am also always interested in Artist statements and essays. I like to say that im not political, but i do occasionally read an Adbusters.

Hung out in the Park with a bunch of Norweigans for the 17th of May celebrations: it was an all inclusive deal: free music and life lessons.
