ABOUT ME

I love fun, art, music, architecture, traveling, and learning. Participate in the regional burn, called Burning Flipside here, and if my teacher schedule would allow it, I would travel to Burning Man and build art (or help build art) there.

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, have fun, and play hard too! Don't sweat the small stuff (as much as possible). Do it good and do it right. Take it easy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed on couches in France, Germany, and Norway. I have only now found a housing situation perfect for hosting guests!!! :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences were very awesome in France and Germany. I haven't done couch surfing in many years actually and thought it would be fun to try it again.

I am from Austin Texas and also a dual citizen of Norway. I love to travel. I would love to meet up with any travelers or locals for lunch, dinner, coffee, or drinks while I am in town. I am traveling solo this time and would enjoy some conversation.

I would like to rent a scooter and have my motorcycle license and hope to see much that the island has to offer. I speak English and Norwegian and a small amount of Spanish.

I teach physical education at the school for the blind and just travelled to Benidorm, Spain to watch the International Blind Tennis tournament, which was awesome. I came from a background in technical theatre, then found my way into teaching and have loved how creative I have had to be in this role. Well not the biggest sports fan I grew up with dance and gymnastics and have grown to love coaching tennis, swim and triathlon teams at my school. I am always learning.

I love adventure, finding new wonders in the world, and learning about the different ways we all live.

Overall, have loved getting to know other travelers and learning about the town from their perspective.
