Overview
About Me
Ksenia, 23. A young performance artist/painter based in Strasbourg. Moving a lot between my two countries, exploring the different forms of expression, looking for the inspiration and partying. I’m pretty nice, caring, sometimes even funny, effortlessly smart, kinda athletic, and as you could notice, very humble. I love plants, my house, dogs, tattoos, beer, wine, dogs, dancing, dogs, dogs. Oh, and I absolutely love meeting people.
Not only I may sometimes be a cool person to hang out with, I am also quite a good vegan cook. I’ll transform any sad vegetable into an exciting dish.
Currently writing my master thesis, I read a lot of smart books but I have a very average cinema/music culture. Show me your favourite film, play me your favourite music — I’ll be very happy to discover new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting people and because I believe that travelling shouldn't be a privilege of those who can afford rentals. The commercial approach that people have to travelling nowadays is killing the real spirit of discovery. Most of the world is drowning in consumerism, and therefore all the cities tend to look more and more look-alike. How can you get to know a place if you're staying in an empty generic Airbnb apartment or a standard hotel room, that look the same all over the world. Plus, I really do believe that the best memories about places are made through new friendships and surprising acquittances. No money could buy that.
I know that Couchsurfing will open a whole new dimension of my trips, and even make me see the places I've already been to under a new optique. Hopefully, I will meet interesting and openminded people, who will be respectful of me as I am of them, their place and their city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked for two independent electoral campaigns in Russia, being an opposition activist.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, let's share our time first of all. Meals, beers, whatever. If I come to your place, I will try to be discreet and present at the same time. We all have our own lives, and I love spending time on my own or with my good friends. But I think it is necessary to at least spend time together once a day, take a breakfast, go for a walk, to a party to know each other better.
I can also suggest we share books, or I bring some of my latest printed works. It may be nice if we give something handmade to each other, those kinds of objects are always the ones we keep the longest.
