About Me
Well... Hello there! I'm Ksenia, a 20-year-old English major with a burning desire to travel and explore new places, listen to people's stories and maybe share a couple of my own :) I'm very talkative (you are more than welcome to tell me to shut up at any moment), can play a bit of guitar and ukulele (if you enjoy listeting to someone struggle to remember the chords to the happy birthday song, I'm your gal) (alright, I'm not that bad, but still not very good, ha), like to tell jokes (some of them are good, but sometimes people just stare at me blankly, let's just hope that won't happen) and from time to time I try my hand at cooking (I've been very into omelettes recently, but I can whip up some traditional Russian stuff as well). I really love cinema and music (very original, I know) and learning about languages (maybe not so much learning the actual languages, but I try).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To truly get to know a place, you must get to know the people from it, and I think Couschsurfing is a great way to do that! I really value the rare chances to see something from someone else's perpective and seeing how one thing or idea can be completely different in the minds of different people. I haven't surfed (is this the right term? can you tell I'm new to this?) that much (at all) yet, but I hope that I will :) Unfortunately, I cannot accept guests because I'm getting my BA degree and living in a dorm, but if you want to meet up and take a walk around Moscow, I'd be delighted to help!

Music, Movies, and Books
I study literature at univesity, so picking a favorite book is very hard for me, because I have to read heaps and loads of them :) I like dystopian novels and 20th century poetry. As for music, it's a weird mix of everything, and I am always open to finding out more about different genres. Movies are also a very big thing for me, so I would love to talk about them with you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a camel through the Sahara desert.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you about Russia and the Russian language, literature, culture and traditons. I also tend to store a lot of random knowledge in my head, so if you like odd trivia, I can share some of it with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Frienship, language exchange, laughs and food :)
