One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I (Ksenia) studied at university - I had a dream - to see America! However, I had no visa and it was not real to go to the USA.
in 2013 we with my husband fulfilled this old cherished dream!

One trip - 35 days - 10 flights by plane - 4 leased cars! In addition, the greatest memoirs for the rest of life!

New York - the greatest new year in my life!

San Francisco - the most beautiful cultural city in California. Warm climate in the winter, fresh seafood - paradise for life!

Santa Barbara - the ocean, wide beaches, palm trees, mountains and tile roofs of houses and a place where shot series from my childhood "Santa Barbara", It was the longest TV series of that were broadcast in Russia. Total 2137 series was filmed!

Los Angeles - the city of stars! Universal Studio impressed me. To see cinema from within, Interesting excursion on a set. Special effects, the falling planes, explosions!!!; especially impressed studio tour - scenery of some movies alive!!!

Great Canyon - the greatest natural place in the world. Once in life it needs to be seen! It is power, grandness, scales, and greatness of the nature!

Canyon of the Antelope - Legendary bend of the river Colorado - very unexpectedly this place made bigger emotional admiration, than all others did. Height more than 100 m - and you stand on the edge of the cliff … without protections … and emotions of fear and at the same time admiration overflow!

Natural reserve Zion – We went in a canyon, between mountains and I saw very unusual roads. Asphalt of unusual red color!

Las Vegas - the city of luxury and entertainments.

Maui Island, Hawaii – unique beaches with red and black sand! My dream was fulfilled! I found them! Also we climb to the cooled-down volcano 3022 m high – delightful types over clouds! It is very interesting to observe as the vegetation changes: palm trees and tropical flowers at the foot of the mountain after 1000 m change on coniferous trees, then on cactuses and prickles, and at top – already landscapes as on Mars! Black earth, stones and two types of prickles! Landscapes fantastic! And the stellar sky is delightful at night! So close it is also accurately visible each star and the Milky Way!

Kaui Island, Hawaii – the tropical green island. Visit of a canyon of Waimea Canyon was the most interesting. The majestic Green Mountains, falls, a view of the ocean is a gripping show!

Oahu Island, Hawaii – the most beautiful beaches are far from standard tourist places. We leased the car and rode on the island in search of unique beautiful beaches, climb to mountains – and enjoyed the most beautiful types of the great nature!
