About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to live, to experience, to never take anything in life for granted, to explore the world and all of its people and to give as much deserved as possible.

ABOUT ME

I like to stay openminded and meet as many interesting people as possible. Honest and easy going.

PHILOSOPHY

"“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts" Mark Twain
Altruism. Loyalty. Love. Open-mindedness. Be flexible, honest, patient, forgiving, know that we are all prone to mistakes - and life will be all the better for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am able to both host and surf, I would like to put in as much effort as possible to ensure that people get to see as much of the world as possible, and return the favour to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This summer I have hosted many people from around the world, including America, France, India and Austria, and have surfed around Germany.
Knowing a lot of people from around the world from international summer camps and programmes that I regularly attended since the age of 10, I have in the past ten years visited friends in different countries quite a few times, and in return they have visited me. Already experienced in hosting, I know how to show people a good time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen fireflies gliding through Indian forests at twilight. It may not be such a big deal for some, but that was a truly beautiful sight for me. I've seen the half moon bigger than a bloated sunset and as crimson as blood on Swansea bay. I've seen the sun in shadow behind the French Alps, as strange and impossible as that sounds.
I learnt how to snowboard whilst on my own in one day, I think that's a pretty cool achievement. I've played guitar in song contests and have won 2nd place. I wrote my first novel, 80,000 pages, when I was 16.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught guitar and Russian in the past, and am more than able to do so now. I am a professional translator of Russian to English and have translated poetry and prose such as Pushkin and Mayakovskiy in the past. I am training to be an English teacher if anyone has difficulties with English. I can ski/snowboard, swim, ride a bicycle, play piano.
I would always love to learn languages: to improve my German and continue learning Arabic, Mandarin or Finnish.

What I Can Share with Hosts
