I don't think it's the common interests that bring people closer, I think it's rather some personal attraction unexplainable in terms of logic.
But: my passion number one is eating, passion number two is drinking tea listening to music and doing nothing in company or alone, cooking together, also reading books, going to cinema, drawing , doing sketches and traveling.
My personal philosophy, shortly: I don't believe in what people say, I believe in what they do and what choices they make.
