Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are trying to open up West Kalimantan to the CS community. This is an amazing part of the world under threat by illegal logging, oil-palm plantations, corruption, mismanagement, and development. The more people that fall in love with Borneo, the better chance it has at survival. That - and we are a bunch of cheap bastards that would rather spend our time sleeping on the ground, in the backs of cars, or on strangers floors than give a dime (much less $70) to some corporation for the "privilege" of a sterile nights stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet - at least not officially through couchsurfing.org ... though we were doing this way before the internet made it cool.

Interests

Anything that involves fresh air, clear rivers, animals, plants, and physical exhaustion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of us has been peed on by a gibbon, the other was once attacked by a monitor lizard while showering.
