About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To put an artistic international spin on Kerouacian travel

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist in training, an eager student, and of course, a world traveler. I firmly believe that travel of Kerouac's breed and brilliance is possible in this overpriced day and age.
I'm trying to eat healthy-also love new recipes.
I'm a ridiculous lightweight and as a consequence do not drink that much. I love dogs with a fervor babies may envy. Cats don't seem to appreciate me nearly as much. I'm a relatively early riser and love that blessed morning time for reading, walking, or yoga.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing can teach you more about yourself than going out on a limb, out of your comfort zone. And once you've started experiencing everything, you can't go back.
There are no happy endings because nothing ever ends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'm not (yet) a verified member, I wish to invite anyone to crash, wherever in the world I may happen to be. When traveling, I would much rather get to know local people and their favorite haunts rather visit the typical tourist attractions. I am particularly keen to create a strong community of those related to my profession- theatre- so that my travels and experiences may also one day feed my work

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been wonderful so far meeting amazing people across the globe. So far through this website, I have couchsurfed in Edinburgh, Scotland and Seattle, WA. I have also met up with people breezing into the Big Apple.

Interests

theatre, dance, yoga, anatomy, urban ecology & gardening, sustainable agriculture, cooking, discovering new music, martial arts (if i ever get around to training one style on a regular basis)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While traveling in Yunnan, China, I got to drive along the edge and see the Leaping Tiger Gorge, which I don't believe exists anymore. While hiking up in the surrounding mountains (foothills of Himalayas i'd like to say) the following day, I got terribly sick and had to ride a borrowed horse back down the mountain to the highway, where an accompanying friend's mother and I hitch-hiked back to the nearest rest house. Terrible but at the same time amazing experience. Now I can say I've hiked in the "Himalayas" and hitch-hiked in China.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ever heard the term 'slug beer' to describe a really crappy kind of beer? That's because slugs are fatally attracted to beer (aren't most people). However, consuming or falling into the substance proves lethal. So if you ever have a problem with slugs binging on your plants, set out some small basins of PBR or Natty Ice.

Also, can teach yoga and a little bit of Shakespeare.

I am an aspiring amateur gardener/farmer. I would appreciate any knowledge of that sort.
