Hi, I'm a musician and artist from Toronto. I am a singer, songwriter and producer - you can find my music on streaming services under Katie McBride. These days I see Ableton as my main instrument but for many years it was trumpet which, for better or worse, is not currently with me. I love experimenting with visual art, photography and video as well.

I also love yoga, meditation and practicing mindfulness. I'm sober and love to read, visit art galleries and museums, spend time outside, and connect with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came to LA at the beginning of July because I felt called to spend more time here and in California generally. I've met so many cool people and experienced such great art and community already here. I had a great experience a few years ago purely using Couchsurfing to make friends, but have never hosted or stayed at anyone's place through this app. I would be so grateful to anyone who felt compelled to open their home to me, and help me continue to explore this amazing place.
