About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple.
ABOUT ME
I'm a people person-- my best friend once described me as "infatuated with the human race," which just about sums it up.
PHILOSOPHY
Let us all be from somewhere.
Let us tell each other everything we can.
-Bob Hicok
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've done a lot of traveling, and the people I've met have taught me the meaning of hospitality. Joining CouchSurfing when I got home was kind of a way to translate and integrate that value into my daily life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I feel like there are a whole lot of kindred spirits floating around out there, and CouchSurfing offers a platform to make us more accessible and accountable to each other.
Most of my highlights are from living in Delhi and meeting the community and travelers there:
-Hosting a St. Patrick's Day party with all green food
-An unforgettable Beyonce singalong and dance party
-Trying on wigs in Old Delhi
-A night that culminated in a big bonfire and a heated conversation about aboriginal rights.
In Boston, my roommates and I were also active hosts and have some great memories and friends from that time.
In general, I've found CouchSurfers to be open-minded and curious, and I've really appreciated getting to know the worldviews and perspectives of the people I've met through this site.
Interests
I recently moved to NYC (Brooklyn) and have loved how this has shaken things up for me.
I care/think a lot about social justice. I'm always down for a good dance party. I can find humor in most any situation.
