ABOUT ME

I'm Katie. 23 years old living in Chicago, where I have lived my whole life. I studied abroad in Paris Spring 2012 and am now obsessed with traveling, meeting new people, and exchanging travel stories. Since I can't travel right now, I love being a part of anything that makes me feel a part of the "travel atmosphere" again. I'd love to learn from your culture and life experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

"Joie de vivre". The joy of life. Sometimes we get caught up and forget to take a breather and look around. "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't take a second to look around you might miss it"

I like doing things that will make a good story later.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an intern at this awesome start up company called Meal Sharing. It's kind of like the Couch Surfing of food. If you stay with me, I will probably take you to a meal share, where you can enjoy local, home cooked food, and meet new people!

Sports, although I'm way better at watching them than playing them.
Movies, especially the documentaries section on Netflix.
Music. There are few things I love more than going to a concert/show/festival.

I also enjoy running along the Lakefront trail whenever the weather allows me.

Seeing Machu Picchu. Snorkeling in the reefs of the Florida Keys. Watched the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup! Traveled through Europe. Lived alone in a foreign country. Explored the illegal underground tunnels of Paris.
