Just moved back to NOLA after living in Alaska for almost 3 years! I live in the "Greater New Orleans Artists' Mansion" (GNOAM) about 6 blocks from the French Quarter...

PHILOSOPHY

Ask stupid questions. It's way less stupider than nodding and pretending you know what they're talking about. And, do scary things. Unless you think the thing is scary because you might DIE. And... laugh.... as much as possible. Always.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done... I caught a really really big fish one time all by myself. I've also seen a hammerhead shark scuba diving, taught an Eskimo how to set up a bank account, climbed an active volcano and survived Mardi Gras twice so far. But perhaps the most amazing thing I've ever SEEN was my friend giving birth to her first child. THAT was amazing.

Things I can teach: how to make bread pudding, how to do a cartwheel, how to shuck an oyster, how to kill a cactus, how to french braid your girl's hair, how to drink good coffee

Things I want to learn: some basic French language, how to stretch canvas, how to make Indian food, where to get the best oysters, more about my sign (Cancer) and how to silversmith
